Ask Honey answers questions about your own numbers — “can we afford this?”, “how is our saving going?” — using the household you are signed into. It needs one AI engine switched on. All three below have a free tier, and Ollama runs entirely on your own machine.
Runs on Groq's servers.
Free tier, no card. Fastest to set up.
Runs on Google's servers.
Free tier, no card. The only engine that also reads receipt images.
Runs on the computer that runs HoneyMoney — your own laptop, if you host it yourself. Not your phone.
Free, no key, no account. Nothing is sent to anyone. No terminal.
Sign in and HoneyMoney can download the model for you here — no terminal needed.
Paste a key here and this household uses it instead of the server's. The key is encrypted before it is stored, is never sent back to your browser, and is checked against the provider when you save — so a wrong key fails here, not later inside a question about your savings.
Sign in to store a key for your household.
Once an engine answers, Ask Honey appears on your Dashboard. It never invents figures: every number it says is computed by the same function behind your H-Score, and an answer containing an unrecognised number is discarded in favour of a plain one.
Running your own instance? Create the bot with BotFather, set the token and webhook secret, and register the webhook. Full step-by-step in DEPLOY.md.
Install adds HoneyMoney to your home screen — no app store (Menu → Install app, or the banner). To remove it, uninstall like any app: on Android long-press the icon → Uninstall. Removing the app does not delete your account — manage or delete your account.
